Transitions happen throughout life and twice in every triathlon, however, some transitions are more monumental than others. I know that I haven’t posted in a long time, but that’s because I have been going through a significantly monumental transition.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences/Dietetics. There has been a lot of other activity the past few months as well. I raced in Florida at the Clermont and Sarasota ITU races, had an amazing 22nd birthday, raced in Tempe, AZ, raced in Florida again at St. Anthony’s (Love you Gagen Family!!), graduated, raced in Tunica, MS at the Memphis in May triathlon and finally moved back home to beautiful Utah.
This season has not quite been what I was expecting, but that’s okay. There was a four year investment in my future and education that needed to be taken care of. My goal was a 3.75 GPA and I’m proud to say that even with a full college schedule including friends, volunteering, a few part-time jobs, and of course full-time training I graduated with a 3.74… and I’ve still never had less than a B. Take that Organic Chemistry and Physics!
Many people have asked me what I am going to do with my degree grad school, an internship, etc. Thankfully I have support from the most wonderful family in the world and right now I am able to pursue my dream and goals in the sport of triathlon.
Anyways the point of this post is to say….I’M BACK!!
And here are are my past few months in photo!
We love you too! So proud of you and look forward to more exciting times ahead!
So happy that you are posting again as I have really missed reading all you are up to…also really enjoyed the pics!!!! Especially the one of you and your mom..still say she looks more like a big sister than Mom. Since you will no longer be torn in so many directions and wearing so many hats…especially the student hat that is very labor intensive and can focus on just your training know you will get where you hope to be…only hope to see you in action in person one day…you have amazing focus…scary focus……so know in my heart of hearts there are great things in store for you……..
